Long-term complications following acute illness caused by the SARS-CoV-2, known as Post-COVID-19 Syndrome (PCS) or Long COVID, present a significant clinical challenge for both patients and society. One of the main complaints among these patients is persistent, medically unclear fatigue. Additionally, musculoskeletal pain, insomnia, headaches, long-term subjective cognitive decline such as concentration and memory problems, known as brain fog, are also common. These debilitating sequelae represent a serious health problem as they incapacitate the individual, impair the quality of life, and reduce functionality and work efficiency. For all these reasons, additional therapeutic procedures are necessary to alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life. Spa resources offer the possibility of multidisciplinary modern treatment and implementation of medical rehabilitation protocols. Highly trained personnel could contribute to improving work capacity and treating persistent consequences of COVID-19. This is significant as humanity will likely continue to coexist with this virus for a long time. Hence, it is necessary to develop strategies to improve physical condition and achieve psychological well-being in these patients.
