Modern tourism is characterized by different forms of tourism depending on the motivation of the people themselves, visitors and tourists. More and more diverse motives have led to the development of many non-specific forms, and therefore the tourist offer of a destination tends to be recognized and increase competitiveness. The Pljevlja area includes mountainous area, which is located at the very end of the Montenegrin northern side. There is a reservoir on Ćehotina – Otilović Lake, which is eleven kilometers long. By origin, this lake is artificial, however, as such, it managed to blend in with the surroundings, despite the fact that curves prevail in it. As such, it represents an interesting phenomenon in this environment. Lake Otilović is being developed as a tourist offer and improved as a tourist destination for excursion tourism. It is based on the harmonization of current trends that are modern in tourist demand. This is usually done through the enrichment of the offer, which is related to tourist services and through the variety of facilities. It is important to properly understand the interests of tourists and to correctly assess the trends in tourist demand. For sectors of special interest tourism that are new, contemporary trends are the basis.
