Rural events represent an important tourist product that contributes significantly to the recognition of tourist destinations and the local economy. The success of such events is often measured by the number of visitors who choose to attend a specific locality. In this context, it is essential to examine the motives and behaviour patterns of tourists who visit these events. The paper presents the findings of a research conducted on a sample of 210 respondents. The research revealed that emotional motives are among the key drivers for attending rural events. Time spent with family or friends while enjoying local culinary specialties is a very important motive for most respondents. Additionally, experiencing local culture and traditions and appreciating the natural beauty of the area also serve as strong incentives for attendance these events. More than a third of respondents familiarize themselves with the location, cultural offer and program of the event before going to the event. Similarly, an equal proportion reported gaining new knowledge at each event they attended. These findings suggest that rural manifestations play a vital role in promoting the place where they are held and building positive attitudes of visitors towards the local community, its customs and sights.
