Abstract:
This article takes the game “Black Myth: Wukong” as a case study to explore the application of myth-themed games in contemporary tourism. Through methodological innovation, interdisciplinary perspectives, and the application of digital technology, it reveals the reinterpretation and revitalization of traditional cultural narrative elements, aiming to enhance the cultural depth of tourism experiences and contribute to reshaping the cultural landscape of tourism. The article further evaluates the comprehensive value of traditional cultural resources at economic, social, and cultural levels, as well as the challenges faced and strategies for addressing them, particularly in achieving commercialization while maintaining the authenticity of myths, legends, and fairy tales, ensuring a positive impact on modern tourism. It concludes with forward-looking insights on the revival of future tourism cultural landscapes, the excavation and revitalization of traditional culture, and the strengthening of digital transformation, aiming to promote cultural exchange and understanding, inheritance and development, and providing valuable guidance for the innovative development of cultural tourism integration, which is of significant importance for enhancing the competitiveness of tourist destinations.
